Erasmus Self Organized Healthy Sports 2nd meeting at Kuopio 19.2.-25.2.2017
Our guests arrived on Sunday 19.2.2017 to the Kuopio busstadion. Hosting parents and pupils welcomed them and they were accommodated to the families.
On Monday our pupils kept a guided tour in our school and school area including Kuopio sporthall.
Welcoming ceremony was kept.10.00 in our sporthall. Our choir sang some beautifull songs and all school performed their powerpoint presentations about their school and environment.
Like every school day, all our guests went to eat school lunch together with their hosting students. After that they followed lessons with students. At the same time teachers kept their meeting.
On Tuesday pupils took part to the sport lessons. They played typical Finnish game, floorball and also volleyball together with our sport classes. After school lunch all participants attended guided citytour. Our pupils were guiding them. We saw harbourarea, citycentre,Puijo tower and Puijo skijumpingarea.
In the evening all perticipants went to the biggest smokesauna in Finland and ate traditionall finnish food , with tradidional music.
On Wednesday we had a dancinglesson which our physical education teacher kept to them . Pupils learnt some finnish dances. After that they listened few lessons .
After schoollunch they walked to the science muceum at downtown. We went there walking because it was the best possible winterweather then , shiny and minus 5 degrees.
Pupils from Hatsala classical school had made presentations beforehand so they were guiding and telling about wintering animals in Finland. The most interesting thing seemed to be the mammoth.
Also pupils got to know our history and culture there.
On Thursday we had a wintersportsday in our school. It was planned by our internationall group .All participants were able to choose different activities.( like slating, skiing, icehockey, snowart,)

Downhill skiing
On the winter sports day we went downhill skiing to Kasurila, Siilinjärvi. It was a snowy and windy day but we had fun anyways. A bus took us to Kasurila in the morning. We skied for a couple of hours and in the afternoon the bus took us back to school, but some of us stayed at Kasurila.

Sledging
Sledging was held at Puijo. We arrenged some competitions. Competitions were pretty much like "who is the fastest to come down the hill." After sledging we had some activities at school. It was a fun day!
Skating
Kuopio arrainges every winter an skating event, Ice marathon at Kallavesi. Some students from our and many other schools went there on the winter sports day. Every year they offer warm juice and sausages to skaters.
Frisbee golf
Frisbee golf was held at Huuha forest, near Minna Canth's school. It was a bit diffirent, kinda funny, to play frisbee golf in the snow. We lost a few frisbees in the snow.

Vili Sampo ja Veeti ,Ice hockey tournament was planned by these boys. They made up the rules and organized the game.
Thursday in the afternoon we took a bus to Tahko skiing area. We were accommodated to a small cabins there .We had nice evening there together.
On Friday we had winteractivities at Tahko. This means downhillskiing, skating, snowmobiling or just nice walk on the ice,
Afternoon we came back to Kuopio, said byebye to all . It was a nice week together!
