The School Ntra. Sra. de la Providencia is placed on the outskirts of Palencia (Spain) in a working class neighborhood and therefore it receives students at risk of social exclusion, together with immigrants and social minorities such as gypsies. The school was built in 1964 and it is a three storied building with thirteen classrooms and several multi-purpose rooms. We have a large field, severals yards and two play structures to be used in winter time.

The schools has over 350 students from 4 months old to 16 years old. We provide a safe learning environment where all students are important and we reach standard levels of academic achievement. We value open communication between parents, students, and teachers. Our school fosters a spirit of lifelonglearning and establishes a community of productive citizens. We promote intellectual curiosity and creative thinking where the entire community, the arts, and all cultures are valued.

Vision: Through the use of positive behavior interventions and assertive discipline we make our students responsible and determined. In addition, by providing team building for staff, students, and parents, open communication becomes an integral part of our community. Our school fosters success through exemplifying diverse life accomplishment. Professional development for teachers is the means to improving instruction and growth for our entire community.
